What is the difference between this and the Dripping Gold Glowing Steady Gradual?
Our current gradual tan is more of a lightweight lotion-style formula designed for a subtle, buildable tan. It’s amazing for everyday wear and tan beginners. Butter is completely different. It’s a rich body butter texture that deeply hydrates while giving a darker, glowier result on the skin.
Can I use it on my face?
It is formulated for the body. For face tanning, try our Dripping Gold tanning range.
How long does the colour last?
5–7 days with normal showering. Fades evenly without patchiness.
Is it sticky?
No. The whipped butter formula absorbs quickly. Most users are dressed within 10–15 minutes.
Is it vegan?
Yes. PETA-certified, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly. Made in Ireland.
Do I need to prep my skin first?
Yes. Exfoliate and shave 24 hours before applying for the most even result.
Can I use a tanning mitt?
Yes. Apply with your hands or a tanning mitt, whichever you prefer.
Can I use this during pregnancy?
This formula doesn't contain any ingredients we'd flag as unsafe for use during pregnancy. However, every pregnancy is different, so we always recommend speaking to your doctor before introducing any new product into your routine.
What's the shelf life?

As a mum of two young kids I don’t have a lot of time for self care..coupled with the fact that I’m breastfeeding so I hate the feeling of sticky tan and the possibility of transferring it to my baby. This product is a game-changer! So easy to apply, no odour and only needed to use about 2 teaspoons of it to cover my whole body! The next morning I had the most natural, healthy looking tan. I have used other gradual tans from other brands in the past but have never had such a good colour payoff from a gradual tan after one application. It’s an amazing tan ! My skin is quite sensitive & is more suitable for gradual tanning products/moisturisers, this is definitely moisturising & gives a colour after 1 application. I find it really sticky though, my son said I smelled like chips (that was a first😅) I felt sticky all night long & the normal smell of tan was quite potent which was disappointing, this could be due to my own personal skin, I'm not sure. I'll probably continue to use it just on my legs when needed but it was just too sticky for my upper body. The texture is great, the design and concept is great, being a fellow Irish girl myself 💚
Was sooo pleasantly surprised by this product. I have had a very bad experience with a body butter from another Irish brand where the smell wee awful, the application was difficult, I missed patches and I could not get it off my body. This was the complete opposite, it smells Devine- not like tan at all, my skin is SO soft, I didn’t miss any patches due to the glow that it leaves; you know exactly where you applied it, it did not transfer onto my white pyjamas or bed sheets, even without showering it’s a lovely colour, it’s actually better than any orher fake tan I’ve tried - be it mousse, lotion, oil, etc and I have tried them all. I can’t see myself using any other tan except this for a long time…. Or ever! What an invention!
When I tried it first on my chest the ‘gold’ glow had settled into the lines on my neck the following morning. I also used it on my legs and it was very dark. But… I mixed it with my body moisturiser used it on my legs and the result is gorgeous. It’s a lovely texture and I will continue to use it. Thank you.
I love tan but I’m not a regular tanner, mainly because I’m shocking for moisturising in between tans and so doesn’t always look great! This is perfect tan but moisturising skincare aswell! Popped on a layer so easy and gorgeous even colour result!!! New favourite!!
I absolutely love the gradual tanning butter. It goes on so creamy. The gold sheen in it makes it’s so easy to see where you’re putting it. There was no transfer onto sheets and no tanning smell. Had a gorgeous natural tan the following morning. Would definitely recommend it ❤️
This gradual tanning butter is such a treat for the body.. My skin felt nourished and deeply moisturised with the added bonus of a deep holiday like tan after about 5 hours. I used a tanning mitt & the product just glides onto your skin like butter & feels so good. My skin felt super soft, followed by a deep golden tan in the morning. 10/10 from me.

The Dripping Gold Gradual Tan Body Butter felt more like a luxurious moisturiser than a tan. It applied beautifully, absorbed well, and left my skin feeling soft, hydrated and silky smooth. The colour developed into a gorgeous natural-looking glow with no streaks and no orange tones.

Also make sure to wash ur hands , I completely forgot which is my fault and my hands are very very dark this morning .

I can honestly say this body butter is the best gradual tan I have ever used , I suffer with psoriasis all my life and always struggle to find a hydrating tan that doesn’t irritate my skin or make my psoriasis look worse!
Some tans I would have to remove it after the 1st 10 minutes as it could burn my skin but not the body butter.
This product has my skin looking glowy , healthy and gives it a natural looking tan
