A whipped, buttery gradual self tan that treats your skin like skincare and tans it like a Dripping Gold formula should. Inspired by Ireland's butter culture and reimagined as a luxe body ritual, it melts in on contact, leaves an instant golden sheen, and builds into a deep bronze over 4–6 hours.

The formula is rich in Cocoa, Shea and Mango Butters to deeply nourish, with Hyaluronic Acid to support long-lasting hydration. Skin feels soft, looks lit-from-within, and the colour deepens with every layer - so you decide how golden you want to go.

Best applied with a Dripping Gold Luxury Tanning Mitt for a smooth, even finish.

HOW TO USE

Apply evenly into clean, dry skin using hands or a tanning mitt.
Wash hands after application.
Allow to fully absorb before dressing.
A gradual tan will develop within 4–6 hours.
Reapply as desired to build depth of colour.

What is the difference between this and the Dripping Gold Glowing Steady Gradual?
Our current gradual tan is more of a lightweight lotion-style formula designed for a subtle, buildable tan. It’s amazing for everyday wear and tan beginners. Butter is completely different. It’s a rich body butter texture that deeply hydrates while giving a darker, glowier result on the skin.

Can I use it on my face?
It is formulated for the body. For face tanning, try our Dripping Gold tanning range.

How long does the colour last?
5–7 days with normal showering. Fades evenly without patchiness.

Is it sticky?
No. The whipped butter formula absorbs quickly. Most users are dressed within 10–15 minutes.

Is it vegan?
Yes. PETA-certified, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly. Made in Ireland.

Do I need to prep my skin first?
Yes. Exfoliate and shave 24 hours before applying for the most even result.

Can I use a tanning mitt?
Yes. Apply with your hands or a tanning mitt, whichever you prefer.

Can I use this during pregnancy?
This formula doesn't contain any ingredients we'd flag as unsafe for use during pregnancy. However, every pregnancy is different, so we always recommend speaking to your doctor before introducing any new product into your routine.

Obsessed! Feels so good for the skin
I am in love with the butter! The same tried and true dripping gold tan color, but in a creamy, gorgeous, and hydrating body butter. I even used it on my 9 months pregnant belly and it provided great hydration and the perfect color.

With all the hype about this product I was very disappointed. I waited 2 months for a product that's like any other tan. It has a horrible butter smell and even after exfoliating is very patchy.

There is nothing "gradual" about this at all. It comes up soooooooooo dark in a few hours. And because its a "gradual" tanner with no colour in it, you can't see where you've maybe missed bits. The contrast between where you've missed and where you've tanned is shocking! It's so dark. And really dirty looking around hands and toes (again, because you can't see it upon application). Ordered on preorder, waited ages, it was so expensive and DEFO not worth it! I apply tan weekly and have it down to a fine art so I know what I'm doing and never get patches missed or dirty looking hands etc.
