Founder, SOSU Cosmetics and Dripping Gold
SOSU Cosmetics was founded in 2015 by Suzanne Jackson.
Most of what Suzanne Jackson makes exists because a customer told her what was missing. She trained as a beautician and makeup artist and spent years working face to face with women, and the same three things kept coming up: the foundation that didn't match, the tan that went patchy, the lashes that didn't last. SOSU Cosmetics is her answer to them, for the woman who wants to look put-together without a salon bill or a drawer of products that didn't work.
Where SOSU started
2010. It started with conversations
Suzanne started the SoSueMe blog in 2010, at 25, while working on reception at a radio station, writing at first about the people who came through the door. Readers kept asking the former beautician about her makeup instead, and within two years a recommendation on the blog could empty a shelf. By 2013 she had left the day job to run it full time, and it became the place Irish women went for beauty advice that held up.
2015. It started with 25 nail shades
Then she stopped recommending and started making. Nail polish came first, 25 shades, the bold, fashion-led colours she felt Ireland was missing, sold through Penneys. SOSU Cosmetics followed in 2015 as an Irish makeup brand, its first product a contour palette that sold out on release, and it hit its first-year sales target in seven weeks. Lashes came next, out of her own search for a lash that felt light and stayed put.
2018. Then came the tan
Dripping Gold launched in April 2018 from the same habit: years of chasing a tan that got the colour right, wore off cleanly and came in a formula to suit how you actually like to tan. Today it is one of Ireland's leading tanning brands, with the Luxury Mousse for the night-before tan, the Gradual Tanning Butter for the days in between, Liquid Luxe, the Express Tanning Serum when there's only an hour, and the Face Serum Tanning Drops for a face that matches.
2019. Bahama Body joins the family
Bahama Body arrived in July 2019, created with Terrie McEvoy and made for the Penneys shelf at a price a student could reach, deliberately its own thing rather than a cheaper Dripping Gold. Bahama Skin followed, widening the same promise into body and skin.
Today
Almost a decade on, SOSU Cosmetics is more than 400 products in over 2,000 stores across Ireland, the UK and the EU, and since 2026 on board Oceania Cruises. The Studio complexion range brings Studio Wear, Studio Tint and Studio Cover, with Match My Makeup to find your shade before you buy. And in September 2026, we launched Lip Ammo, our peptide-enriched lip balm made to go wherever you do.
What she makes
SOSU Cosmetics is complexion, lashes, lips, nails and the tools that go with them. Dripping Gold is tan, in every formula from an express serum that develops in an hour to a gradual butter you put on after the shower. Bahama, created with Terrie McEvoy, is body and Irish skincare. All three are made to be picked up wherever you already shop: a pharmacy, a supermarket, a beauty retailer, a department store, the beauty deck of a cruise ship, or here.
Suzanne wears everything she brings out, every product and every shade, before it goes on sale. If it doesn't hold through a long day, it doesn't launch. That is the whole quality standard, and it is why the reviews read the way they do. When the Luxury Mousse was tested on 103 women over ten days, 97 per cent found it easy to apply and 85 per cent said the finished tan looked natural. Every product is cruelty free and vegan, certified by PETA.
What she wears
The products she is asked about most, from her own routine. The questions arrive on Instagram and YouTube, and she answers them on camera.
